South Jakarta Environment Sub-agency's Control of Pollution and Environmental Damage Section Head, Tuti Ernawati Sapardin, said emission test is held to assess which vehicles comply with emission standards set by governments to protect the environment and public health.

According to her, the emission test was conducted for 29 gasoline-fueled cars, four diesel-fueled cars, and 43 motorcycles.
"Of the 76 vehicles we tested, there were four that did not pass the emissions test, namely two gasoline cars and two motorcycles. Next, we just advise them to regularly service their vehicles," she added.
Meanwhile, one of the riders, Rizal (26), admitted that the two-wheeled vehicle he owned passed the emissions test because it was regularly serviced every month.
"I just had time to do an emissions test, because previously there was a fear of not passing it. However, after carrying out routine maintenance, I am confident that my vehicle can pass the emissions test," he admitted.
